The botanical gardens is a unique site of seasoned natural beauty. Laid out in 1898 by the first curator,it is located on the shores of lake Victoria right in the heart of Entebbe town and yet creates the feeling of a faraway forest expedition, with vast tree species hundreds of years old, herbal gardens, a cliff, shore line and a tropical rainforest zone in which the film Tarzan was shot in the 1940’s.There is no better venue that brings together nature and convenience all in the same space. Your festival experience is laden with fun activities onsite to ensure that you achieve your entertainment or relaxation goals. Join the local fishermen in the mornings or catch the sun rise by the lakeside .You will occasionally bump into friendly but naughty monkeys, they love to eat and are always up to mischief. During our inaugural festival, they carried away rings that where meant to hoist the stage roof -we’re still in peace talks with them. Uganda is said to host a third of the world’s bird species many of which you will see during your festival experience. These and more features will make your stay at Milege an unforgettable experience.
